** Due to the increasing severity of MY ILLNESS, it has become impossible for me to continue to post on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as much as I desperately long to, I am also unable to visit each of your blogs often or reciprocate all the loving, supportive comments many of you continue to leave - even though at times it may appear as though you've arrived at some long ago, forsaken blog! With that said, I really want you to know that I miss every single one of you and that I really am still here! I'm just too sick and too weak most days to be able to sit up long enough to create a brand new post...or even read one. However, I absolutely do receive AND read every new encouraging word you leave (and, often, the old ones, again and again!) and I cherish them now more than ever! I truly appreciate your love, support, and, most importantly, your precious time spent on your knees in prayer for my family and me. It ALL means the world to me and I am truly blessed to have friends like you!
~Hugs and Sister Love, Teresa

FYI: All comments come to my email, which I can easily read on my phone. I also enjoy Facebook on my phone because I can catch up on A LOT in a very short time there. Soooo, if you're on Facebook, come 'friend' me there! {{HUGS}} **

EVERYTHING DRAMA

'I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me
and set me in a broad place.
The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?'
~ Psalm 118:5-6

The following production touched me to my very core. It literally caused me to weep, and it continues to do so every single time I watch it. It is that powerful!! I think it is the most compelling drama done by a church group I've ever seen - and that is saying A LOT because my home church has such incredible drama teams. In fact, I would bet they could pull this one off very well. :0) It is such a powerful performance and an amazing testimony to the Lord's power and His never-ending love for every single one of us. I pray you will take just a few minutes to watch it. You will be blessed.

This amazing drama, better known as 'Lifehouse’s Everything Skit', was performed at the 2006 Smokey Mountain Winterfest in Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee by Mission Baltimore. It was written by Mission Baltimore Director, Tim Houston. The event in Tennessee packed over 30,000 people and the drama has since been viewed by millions.

If you are like me and got caught up in the 'drama' and/or couldn't understand all the lyrics, here they are:

EVERYTHING
~ By Lifehouse

Find me here, speak to me
I want to feel you, I need to hear you
You are the light, that's leading me
To the place where I find peace again.

You are the strength, that keeps me walking.
You are the hope, that keeps me trusting.
You are the light to my soul.
You are my purpose,You're everything.

How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me,
how could it be any better than this?

You calm the storms, and you give me rest.
You hold me in your hands, you won't let me fall.
You steal my heart, and you take my breath away.
Would you take me in? Take me deeper now?

How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?
And how can I stand here
with you and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?

Cause you're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything,everything
You're all I want your all I need
You're everything, everything.
You're all I want you're all I need.
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
you're all I need,
you're everything, everything.

And How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?
How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?

How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?

Would you tell me
how could it be any better than this?

FLASHBACK FRIDAY,
FRIDAY FOLLOW #4
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Jonathan and Morgan
Prom 2009

This weekend is Prom weekend for all the high schools in our county. This year, however, my girls will not be going for various reasons. Rebekah is only a sophomore, so she will have a chance her junior and senior year. It just depends on what is going on in her life at the time.

Morgan has definitely never been much for getting all dressed up in 'girlie-girl' stuff. She has always been my tomboy and has loved every single minute of it! Give her a football and a yard full of boys to mow down while she is running with it and she is happy - and pretty darn good at it, too! :0) Originally, she swore she would NEVER, EVER go to the prom but somehow down deep I think she really did want to go....or she at least wanted to appease her mother by doing so.

Last year, Morgan's best friend, Jonathan, was a senior and knew he was going to enlist in the Marines the very day he turned 18. It was something he had always dreamed of doing. That meant he would be heading off for basic training as soon as he graduated. So, after much debate, he and Morgan decided they would go to his senior prom since he wouldn't be here this year to take her to hers. I was SO excited when they announced they would be going!

They looked so amazing. It made me so happy to see the two of them all dressed up and I think they really did have a great time after all.

Silly, as always! :0)

Now Jonathan is almost finished with his training. He is coming home next week for a short visit. He will be here for Morgan graduation and graduation party and then he's off to Camp LeJeune, N.C. for a short time. After that, it is quite possible he will be deployed to Afghanistan in July. We would truly appreciate your prayers for this incredible young man as he goes off to serve our country.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

I have SO much to be thankful for but today I want to give thanks to the Lord for the most incredible Mother's Day weekend I've had in quite some time. It was full of lots of good stuff. Not only was I able to spend a wonderful evening with my amazing mom, but I also spent another evening with my three daughters, ALL at the same time! That hasn't happened for Mother's Day in a very, very long time. I received a ton of wonderful goodies, but better yet, we simply had a great time together. I was truly thrilled to be with all three of my girls again. I was also blessed to have my youngest grandson, Mason, here. I wish both of my grandsons could have made it, but, unfortunately, Connor had a bad day at school, so his mommy decided he needed to stay at home with dad. That was a little disappointing because I don't get to see them that often but I still had a wonderful time visiting with Mason. He was a complete mess and kept us laughing the entire time. We took a few pictures that evening and I wanted to share them with you. I hope you enjoy them.....

My girls......Whitney, Morgan and Rebekah

Time to go home.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY
and
FRIDAY FOLLOW #3

Granny Jewell and Mama

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, GRANNY and MAMA!

With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, I thought I'd share this picture of my Grandmother and my Mom taken 2 years ago on Mother's Day. This is the last Mother's Day we were all able to spend together as a family before my grandmother (now 95 years old) fell, fractured her pelvis and eventually ended up having to go live in a skilled nursing facility where she could be properly cared for. The last couple of years have been very hard for my parents and a select few family members who take turns visiting and helping to make sure she is taken care of.

Granny Jewell has always been a very intelligent, dignified and self-reliant woman, who proved all that to be true by living alone more than two decades after my Grandfather died of cancer back in 1986. Needless to say, it has been extremely difficult and sad to watch as her once very beautiful human body has really started to deteriorate, her mind has begun to fade and, bit by bit, she is losing all of her glorious memories she used to enjoy sharing with us each and every time we would see her. I can remember she LOVED to tell us stories about when she was a little girl. Her mind would wander back in time as she would recount how different (and better!) things were back in the day. Oh, how I wish I would have thought to capture those stories, her memories, either in writing or on video. What treasures those would be! I'm not sure that it is completely too late, but it definitely won't be the same quality as when she was well and completely lucid most of the time. My parents say you just never know where her mind is going to be when you visit. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know because I haven't seen her since she moved. I just haven't been well enough. I want to go, I need to go. I just haven't felt well enough to do so. Part of me really just wants to remember her like she used to be but part of me knows that if we should get the call that something has happened, I will never forgive myself for not going. *sigh*

Thankfully, I am very blessed to still have my amazing mom here and close by to me! However, her health is not very good and seems to be progressing in the wrong direction. That really scares me. I can not imagine the day when she is no longer just a phone call away. My mom (and dad) has always been an unshakable anchor for me, no matter how rough the waters have ever become; no matter what kind of mess I've managed to get myself in. She never, ever says no! She only asks when, where and/or how much! Unfortunately, it has only been in just the last few years that I have truly grasped the magnitude of my mother's love for me and just how incredibly smart she really was during all those years when I thought 'I' was the one who had all the answers. I sure wish I had listened to her a long, long time ago. I'm certain it would have saved me a whole lot of pain and heartache. But, as the old sayings go, 'Hindsight is 20/20' and 'We all have to learn from our own mistakes'. Well, let me tell you, I have learned plenty - for me and lots and lots of other folks, too! :o)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

FLASHBACK FRIDAY
and
FRIDAY FOLLOW #2

I love this picture. It is an old picture of my three daughters and my sister's three sons. At the time it was taken (2001), my brother and his wife had not yet had their son. It is SO crazy how quickly things change!

Whitney (now 23), in the middle of the picture, is now married and has 2 sons of her own. Casey (19), the oldest boy at the top of the picture, started college last fall and plans to finish as a Pharmacist. Morgan (18), the one with the glasses, will graduate high school in just a couple of weeks and will be attending Auburn University next fall to study Music Education. Andrew (17), the one on the far left, will be a senior next year. He is still trying to decide what he wants to do, but whatever it is, he will do an awesome job because he is extremely smart. Rebekah (15), the silly one on the right, will be a junior next year and is already thinking about college. She doesn't know exactly what she wants to do yet either, but it will most like have something to do with music. Hunter (13) is on the bottom. He is a true ladies' man and he is loving every minute of it! :0) Hunter will be in 8th grade next year and he is also a brilliant young man. He is looking forward to starting high school so he can be in marching band like Morgan and Bekah. The one you can't see in this picture is my youngest nephew, Landon. He was born about 5 years after this picture was made. He will be 4 this year. He is already following in the footsteps of his cousins. He is extremely cute and smart. That's just how we make 'em! :0)

FLASHBACK FRIDAY
and
FRIDAY FOLLOW #1

Morgan, Me, David, Bekah

This picture is of our last real family vacation. It was the very first time the girls and I had every been to Disney World. It was in May of 2007. I was already experiencing some health problems but I would not become really, really sick until July of that same year. Even though I wasn't able to participate in all the rides and activities while we were there, we all still had a wonderful time! I often wish so badly that we could all go back to that time in our lives.

If only for a day.

Good times! :0)
