** Due to the increasing severity of MY ILLNESS, it has become impossible for me to continue to post on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as much as I desperately long to, I am also unable to visit each of your blogs often or reciprocate all the loving, supportive comments many of you continue to leave - even though at times it may appear as though you've arrived at some long ago, forsaken blog! With that said, I really want you to know that I miss every single one of you and that I really am still here! I'm just too sick and too weak most days to be able to sit up long enough to create a brand new post...or even read one. However, I absolutely do receive AND read every new encouraging word you leave (and, often, the old ones, again and again!) and I cherish them now more than ever! I truly appreciate your love, support, and, most importantly, your precious time spent on your knees in prayer for my family and me. It ALL means the world to me and I am truly blessed to have friends like you!
~Hugs and Sister Love, Teresa

FYI: All comments come to my email, which I can easily read on my phone. I also enjoy Facebook on my phone because I can catch up on A LOT in a very short time there. Soooo, if you're on Facebook, come 'friend' me there! {{HUGS}} **

WORD-FILLED WEDNESDAY

THE CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS CHRIST

Source

When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals—one on His right, the other on His left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up His clothes by casting lots. The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at Him. They said, "He saved others; let Him save himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One." The soldiers also came up and mocked Him. They offered Him wine vinegar and said, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself." There was a written notice above Him, which read:

THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS

One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked Him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit." When He had said this, He breathed his last.

I LOVE seeing someone posting a WORD filled Wendesday instead of the common "wordless Wedensdays" so often themed on blogs!!!

I Love Sandi Patty and this song is a fave of mine. Reading your post I also thought of the old one by Ray Boltz...Watch The Lamb! That's another good tear jerker!

:-) Blessings!

That is one of my very favorite songs of hers. I have had it memorized for about 20+ years (even the Spanish part) and love to sing it year round.

"The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men made its way to the heart of Jerusalem..."

What a truly wonderful WFW! Have a blessed Easter!

Celebrating the resurrection of my Jesus is my favorite holiday celebration. And you can't celebrate without remembering what He went through on the cross and what He accomplished while He was there. Then He finished His work of purchasing salvation for us when He arose from the grave and conquered sin and its power over all of our lives when we put our faith in Him. What love He revealed to us! Only Love could have stayed true to the end and accomplished the work of the cross. Love the Sandi Patty song! It is beautiful!
