** Due to the increasing severity of MY ILLNESS, it has become impossible for me to continue to post on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as much as I desperately long to, I am also unable to visit each of your blogs often or reciprocate all the loving, supportive comments many of you continue to leave - even though at times it may appear as though you've arrived at some long ago, forsaken blog! With that said, I really want you to know that I miss every single one of you and that I really am still here! I'm just too sick and too weak most days to be able to sit up long enough to create a brand new post...or even read one. However, I absolutely do receive AND read every new encouraging word you leave (and, often, the old ones, again and again!) and I cherish them now more than ever! I truly appreciate your love, support, and, most importantly, your precious time spent on your knees in prayer for my family and me. It ALL means the world to me and I am truly blessed to have friends like you!
~Hugs and Sister Love, Teresa

FYI: All comments come to my email, which I can easily read on my phone. I also enjoy Facebook on my phone because I can catch up on A LOT in a very short time there. Soooo, if you're on Facebook, come 'friend' me there! {{HUGS}} **

FLASHBACK FRIDAY
~RESCUE 911~

Rescue 911

As many of you know, my husband, David, and I met while working as Paramedics for one of the largest EMS providers in the Atlanta area, DeKalb County EMS. Not too long after we met, we were working on separate trucks at neighboring fire stations, only a few miles apart.

One day, a call came out in the territory my partner and I were working. It was for a person down, stabbed in the abdomen. The 911 dispatcher stated that the caller was a child and that she stated the victim was also a child. After the initial call was dispatched, my husband and his partner, Cathy, believed they were closer to the location, so they 'jumped the call' from us.

I won't tell you the rest because I can show you! You see, that call my dear hubby stole from me ended up being on the TV show Rescue 911! And, ahem, no....I've never let him live it down. :0)

The other day a dear old friend from our EMS days told me that the episode is on YouTube so I thought I would share it with you all. Please keep in mind that this was 21 years ago AND they were made to make it look all Hollywood. Very rarely do public safety workers (Police, Fire, EMS) actually slide sideways up to a scene in their vehicles and then get out and run! That is extremely dangerous for many different reasons.

Anyway, without further ado......

Here we are today, married almost 20 years! And, I really did forgive him. :0)

Thanks for watching! Have a great day!

Blessings,

Teresa

Aww that is cool that he got on tv! Although I must say I think 1 10 year old is a little too young to watch 3 children! Crazy, glad everything worked out though!

I used to watch that show! I don't know why my parents let me see it, though, since I was less than 10 the last I remember it being on. Seriously, though, I still have nightmares about the episode where the little boy stabbed himself with a pair of scissors. Scary stuff!

That's so amazing that that made it onto Rescue 911. I used to love that show. I think you have every right to tease your husband that you could have been the big "star" that day if he hadn't stolen your call!

I got caught up in the show...couldn't watch when the little girl took the knife back to the kitchen...knew that Rufus was just around the corner.

Obviously,I could never be a paramedic.

And although he stole your time in the limelight, I know you're so proud of him for helping to save that little boy's life.

You two definately are a cute couple. Still in love!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Sweet dreams.

What a coincidence that the call he hijacked from you ended up on the show!

Those poor kids though, wow!

My husband is a paramedic too, I don't know that I'd have the stomach for even a quarter of the stuff he sees.

You and your husband have my respect. You make an adorable couple though!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Wow!! If that were my husband, I don't think I would let him live it down either.
