** Due to the increasing severity of MY ILLNESS, it has become impossible for me to continue to post on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as much as I desperately long to, I am also unable to visit each of your blogs often or reciprocate all the loving, supportive comments many of you continue to leave - even though at times it may appear as though you've arrived at some long ago, forsaken blog! With that said, I really want you to know that I miss every single one of you and that I really am still here! I'm just too sick and too weak most days to be able to sit up long enough to create a brand new post...or even read one. However, I absolutely do receive AND read every new encouraging word you leave (and, often, the old ones, again and again!) and I cherish them now more than ever! I truly appreciate your love, support, and, most importantly, your precious time spent on your knees in prayer for my family and me. It ALL means the world to me and I am truly blessed to have friends like you!
~Hugs and Sister Love, Teresa

FYI: All comments come to my email, which I can easily read on my phone. I also enjoy Facebook on my phone because I can catch up on A LOT in a very short time there. Soooo, if you're on Facebook, come 'friend' me there! {{HUGS}} **

WORD-FILLED WEDNESDAY

Be still, and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10a

Things have been so hectic and crazy lately, especially with the holidays and all. I have also had a very hard time over the last couple of months dealing with the reality that I am completely bedridden and that my physical pain keeps getting worse and worse. It is very frustrating for me and I just don't understand why all this is happening to me. There are a lot of things in my life that have happened that I just don't understand. However, I can sense the Holy Spirit speaking to me, filling my heart with these words from the scriptures....'Be still and know that I am God.'

When I meditate on that scripture, I know that He is God Almighty, Lord of the Universe, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, My Savior and My Redeemer!! He came to this world to give His life so the I might LIVE! So, I need to be still.....and remember that He IS God! He is in control and He will not let anything happen that He and I can't handle together.

AMEN!

The purpose of Word-Filled Wednesday is to share God's word (no famous quotes or other literature, only the beautiful Word of our Heavenly Father) through scripture and pictures. If you would like to participate in Word-Filled Wednesday, please join Penny over at her blog and link up.

Wonderful scripture! I think God uses you to get our attention. What you're going through lets us see your faith and helps us to be stronger in our faith. You ever read the story of Ruth. Naomi is left a widow and her only children, her two sons, die. She's left alone, no means of support,no one to take care of her. She becomes angry and bitter, then in steps Ruth, one who worshiped a pagan God, did you know that. Ruth wasn't a Christian when she married Naomi's son. No where in the book does it show Naomi tried to change her. She accepted Ruth as she was. Yet she lived her life for Ruth to see as a loving wife, a loving mother to her sons and their wives. So that when all was said and done, Ruth said, " I will make your people my people and your God my God." Naomi means "peaceful" and Ruth means "Refresher". When Naomi became bitter and angry, Ruth went with her and nurtured her till she realized joy and happiness again. The story of Ruth and Naomi remind me of you.

I hope and pray you feel better soon. Thanks for stopping by my blog and I am following you now and needed this verse today. I know what you mean about the holidays. Everything was so crazy and rushed and I feel like I didn't get to spend much quality time with my family.

Your comment over at mine really made me laugh! I will give a try I swear, but in return you have to read the conversation that comes with it - even if it's muffled.

Sometimes being still is the hardest thing to do. But knowing that He is God helps us to see we really do not have anything much else we can do, really! And being still brings so much peace if we let it. Praying for you,
Christy

I truly and firmly believe that God has good plans for each of us. We don't always understand and maybe we're not meant to. Paul says that we should make all requests known to God and God will give us peace. I hope God sends you peace and relief from your pain soon.

St. Augustine in his book City of God said that the only difference between the Christian and the Pagan (because they both suffered the same challenges) was how they handle what life throws at them. You are a beautiful example of God's beautiful spirit through adversity - your generosity of spirit shines through, you continue to love unconditionally, and your faith of God's great mercy is not conditional! You are an inspiration to me!

I'll be praying for you - believing in healing!

(Oh, I almost forgot - I have a thank you over at my place for being all I said in the above!)

Teresa,

Funny, how He's asking both of us to be still.

To know that He is God.

And that He is good.

Thank you for directing me to this post.

Sweet dreams.
